 On Saturday May 19th 2007 Club Captain Alex Brown and past Captains Dave Macintosh and Chris Smith accompanied by their wives attended a Garden Party at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh.
The Club had been invited to send representatives to the Garden Party as a result of an invitation extended by H.R.H. Prince Andrew, himself a keen and enthusiastic golfer.
During the course of the afternoon, the Club representatives and their wives were able to meet and speak with the Prince.

 Mr Alex Brown This is the most important business meeting of the year for Club members and there was a healthy turnout. Club Captain Brian Low was retiring from his post after two years at the helm. Mr Alex Brown was duly elected to the post of Captain of the Carnoustie Golf Club. Mr Andy Quinn was elected to the post of Vice Captain, with Mr Joe Gourlay being re-elected to the key post of Match Secretary. |
