Hole in One!

Saturday 26th August 2006

Following Eugene O’Brien's and Walter Shepherd’s holes in one, one handicap member Lindsay Law holed his 8 iron tee shot at the 13th hole on the Championship course in the Autumn Meeting on Saturday 26th August 2006.

This makes it 4 holes in one on three consecutive Saturdays.

1st June 2007

A.G. Stirling recorded his 5th Hole-in-One on the 8th Hole of the Championship Course using a 6 iron.  His playing partners were B. Fullerton and B. Campbell.

Sunday 28th October 2007

D. Louden recorded a hole in one at the 5th hole of the Burnside Course.

His playing partners were S. Peffers and A. Wood.

Saturday 21st March 2009

Peter Cardno holed his tee shot on the 175 yard 3rd hole of the Burnside course using a six iron.

His playing partners were Terry Convery, Sandy McNicoll and Bill Reid.

3rd August 2009

Brendan Goodman had a hole in one playing the 175 yard 13th hole on Buddon Links using a 5 iron.

His playing partners were Peter Gordon, Richard Matthew and Craig Small playing in the McDonald Smith Trophy.

Wednesday 9th September 2009

Mrs. Sheena Seaton became the first Lady Member of Carnoustie Golf Club to record a hole-in-one when she aced her 5 wood tee shot at the 16th hole on the Burnside course.

Her playing partners were her husband Bob and Dave McIntosh.

3rd September 2009

Graeme Smith had a hole in one at the 130 yard  17th hole at Downfield  Golf Club using an 8 iron.

He was playing in the seniors inter club match and his playing partners were Bill Sharp, John Walker and Bill Sherriff.

Downfield won the match by 4 matches to two.

25th September 2009

Carnoustie Golf Club junior member, 14 year old Ross Devaney holed his tee shot at the 158 yard 5th hole on the Burnside Course on Saturday 25th September 2010, using a 4 iron.

Ross was playing with his father Mike and David Roberts.

Sunday 11th October 2009

Bill Grogan scored a Hole-in-One at the 138 yard 10th hole on the Buddon Links using a 9 iron.

His playing partner was Alan Jones.

28th March 2010

Doug Pryde holed in one on the Sunday Sweep on 28th March at 13th on Championship when Mr Tommy Peebles was in to 15 inches and said "Get inside that"...So Doug did!  Playing partners M.Williamson, T. Peebles and D. Gardiner.  Club used 7 Iron.

Sunday 20th June 2010.

Colin Henderson recorded a hole-in-one at the 245 yard par 3 16th  hole on the Championship Course using a 3 wood.

His playing partners were Graham Taylor and Katie McNicoll.

19th January 2012

John Mowatt had a hole in one at the 14th hole on the Burnside Course, holing out with a pitching wedge. John’s playing partners were Grant Linnen and Ron Gray.

THURSDAY 2nd FEBRUARY 2012

Carnoustie GC member Jerry Husband holed in one at the 1st hole of the Buddon course using a 9 iron. His playing partners were John Stephen and Dave Bond.
