The Carnoustie Golf Club has a long and proud history.

We were formally constituted in 1842 – although our records show that our club existed for a number of years before this date.

This makes us one of the ten oldest Golf Clubs in the world – and gives our club a unique position in world golfing history.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our new website, we have made significant changes to the old one and we will continue to upgrade and make improvements as the new golf season approaches.

In the near future we hope to add a monthly feature from our Match Secretary John Webster and a feature for the juniors from Alex Anderson our Junior Convenor.

We extend to you - wherever you are in the world – a personal invitation to visit our Golf Club, meet our members to view our displays of golfing memorabilia and history and to enjoy our facilities.

Please feel free to register with the website to keep up to date with the Club.
